    Release the Prisoners

Brash words of a country princess
    Heard by an island prince
Their hearts torn and minds worn
But something time easily can mend

    The country princess hides away
In a crowd working her toil away
Life led her to the state of a wounded animal
Now finding any way to not lash out

Island prince at first doesn’t understand his friend
Gently keeps her by his side still his own curse to mend
And out of the ashes of pain
A most beautiful friendship between them blooms over time

    Country princess escapes away
And in a new place of independence she mends
    With her continuing work expanding
    To worldwide measure never conceived

Island prince falls as country princess rises
Loosing every thing he took for granted
Mangled and torn he seeks his dear friend
With open arms she gently welcomes him in

Brash country princess now changed character
To a beautiful calm woman and shining star
Listening attentively to her friends woes
As he did once for her times ago

He sees how much he’s lost
And amazed at all his dear friend gained
Her finally happily engaged to a powerful man
Who treats her like a queen

They both help him back on his feet
And in time his wounds mend
    Moving to his greatest potential
Thanks to the unconditional love of a dear friend
