    Remember The Friendship Days

Friends are like good luck charms, lucky to have
them and sad to see them fly away. You can tell
them anything your afraid to tell your parents.
And when you were younger we promised each
other that you would be best friends forever and
grow old together and have those wrinkly hands
and faces you have when you stay in a pool for
so long. You'd get mad at your parents and
decide to run away realize your best friend needs
you to stay. You'd take baths together and laugh
while playing. Then just see what time and sooner
or later be counting the Z's blowing through your
minds. We'd watch the slide shows be so jolly and
grand. As both of are families gather around our
gravestone to say R.I.P as best friends to the end
    we will be.

Deeply poetic... I agree with dragonflybeauty that this poem takes me back to the good ole days. Cherish the moments because it's not easy to find life-long friends. People are moved by too many temporal things that puts serious strains on wholesome friendships. Keep it light...Keep it simple!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
