Response to "A man said to the universe"

A Man Said to the Universe

    “Sir, I exist!”
    “However,” replied the universe,
“The fact has not created in me
    a sense of obligation.”

    “A Journey for Purpose”

"What is my purpose, present in time?"
Stepping from the shadows, I’m trying to find.
How can I get there? I climb to the top, nobody’s waiting
It’s like that a lot. Is anyone out there? Does anyone care?
I look all around, I stop, and I stare.
I see through my eyes and I know what I’ve seen
I visualize my journey on accomplishing my dream.
Time waits for no man, and seconds never stop.
Life is what you make of it; its questions all need thought!

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
