    Rest that Refreshes.

I was on an errand and was getting very tired.
I Looked uo to Heaven and sent a message for strength.
I stumbled on as I grew exhausted, determined not to quit.
My legs were wobbling, My back aching.
    Breathing was a Problem.
As I reached the crest of a hill, I Smiled knowing the descent would be easy.
But tere just over the crest a stranger was seated, ragged and looking sad.
I sat down beside Him and offered Him a drink.
He shook the container and replied I had not enough for me, He couldn't dare to Drink.
Yet, I insisted, Please take a drink, I will be Fine.
He did drink then, deep and long. I took the container saying so long and started down the incline.
As I reached the bottom I drank the last I had.
Suddenly the Sun felt hotter, and a warm wind was blowing. On I went struggling along.
I began to Feel Faint and staggered some.
Then Just around a Bend I remembeed His words.
Doing to a Little one in His name had its own rewards.
Suddenly a Bright light appeared and I stopped in My track's.
Ready now to colapse I reached over to grasp a rock for support
not fully aware of any thing.
A Voice, low and Gentle fell upon My Ear.
Would You Like a Drink of Frsh cool water?
I Looked around and Jesus was tere offering me a Drink.
Woith Tears of Gratitude I drank That water and Have never Been Tired again.
    Amen

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
