    Roots

Stand tall and true my friend
    Winds will push you around
    But the sun still shines
    On those who stand ground
Find the seed from which you grew
    Watch the triumph and failure
    The storms seek their prey
When love is in the air

    With blood ice cold
    Nerves hard as rocks
Balls are in the fast lane
    Brain is tied in knots
    Jealousy, addiction
    Passion and pride
    Your ego tripped and fell
    Personality died

Let the bark peel from the flesh
    This shell is useless
    When the leaves change color
    Get back to your roots.
