    Sadness and anger

    She has made it clear to me
    and destroyed the good man inside of me
    so we can't be lovers so we can just be friends
    this isn't how I wanted it to end
    Can trust another woman ever again
    can't just throw away a good friend
    don't know what to do angry and sad as hell
    don't know my future only time can tell
    Shall I keep trying and show her my true self
    or am I just foolin myself
    gave her love to another man
    is this something I can withstand
    based on my character and all of my fears
    this whole thing has brought me to tears
    Shall I be a dog and mistreat all women I see
    or don't this fear control me

    Wow! So sorry to feel your pain through your poem Thurst. But it's so good of you to express yourself through words. Getting it out will help. Please don't allow someone to dictate what type of person to become if you're not that type of person already. Just keep doing you and Ms. Right will come along.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
