    Sadness And Fear

AS I SIT HERE ALONE, I WONDER WHERE COULD I BE?
AS I SIT HERE ALONE, I WONDER WHY CAN'T I SEE?
I HEAR MY HEART POUNDING WITH EVERY BEAT.
I WONDER WILL I EVER SEE DEFEAT?
    HAVE I FAILED YOU?
    HAVE I LOST YOU?
ONLY TIME WILL TELL, BUT, TO THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME..
    ONLY KNOW ME TOO WELL.
THIS LIGHT THAT I LONG TO SEE
CAN I EVER REALLY BE ME?
    I WILL NOT LOSE YOU!
    I WILL NOT FAIL YOU!
FOR ALL I CAN DO, IS REALLY TRULY LOVE YOU

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
