Poem Commentary

Poem about my past...and the things a child does to protect themselves.

Safety

Safty...
a wall built within
A brick for anger, pain
for all the sorrow
built in secrecy
for a safer tomorrow.
A brick for hate
and lost innocence,
a brick for emptiness
and lost hope.
A brick for lies
and broken promises...

A brick for those
who use and abuse,
a beick for the lonely tears
shed throughout the years.

Oh so many bricks...
how high is this wall?,
so much buried away
what will it take
to make it fall???
