Sanctuary

Why must this portayal of life still last, why must I only look into the past?
These are the questions brought to me,these are the riddles that set me free.
I peer into thousands of souls unclean, the sanctuary that isn't seen.
Padded rooms full, the shriek of a patients last pull.
Tonight is wolf moon, a monster waits silently in the womb.
Light comes in, nothing comes out, like a lifeless drought.
Look upon the light that defines you, justify if it's pure or something you grew.
In time it grows, in the end, it shows.
