    scared

    I was so scared
    That night
    she came down upon me
    With wounds of her own
    The fear i still have
    In the nightmares
    That haunt the night
    The blackouts that followed
the drugs and alcohol that followed
    the days of regrets
of what happened ten years ago
    i might have been
    i might not have been
i am not prepared for the steps
    i am slowing taking
i am still scared of her
    for what she did
but the reasons for not talking
were i was seven and didn't think anybody would care
and everyone would just shurg it off like nothing
i feel the fear all over again

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
