Sharing Our Dream - Down On The Brook...

“Sharing Our Dream - Down On The Brook – By The Stream”

My Lady I see you’re sleeping

I know I’m there in your dream,

Together we lie on green pastures

down on the brook by the stream.

Resting a while after we took a stroll

conversations of Love we share,

Gazing at beauty that you possess

I found myself caught in a stare.

You asked me "why are you staring at me,”

in return, I gave this reply,

"Your dazzling physique, your beautiful face,

and sparkles within your eye."

Your pearly white teeth displayed a smile

I tried not to stare as much,

Wanting to hold you right next to me

but I’d melt if our bodies should touch.

So hot and desirable you are to me

like flames you’re too hot to hold,

My mind is on being in love with you

like fairy tales that are told.

Happily we’ll live ever after

like a King and Queen in the book,

This fairy tale I see in your dream

of the two of us down by the brook.

Fairy tales and dreams do come true – but you must put forth work (Songs of Solomon 4)
