Shattered Soul

Shattered Soul

walking a lonely girl in the grasp of reality
my right hand over my left arm.
i walk lost, thinking harder than before, in the dept of my mind
i feel you getting closer,
but never close enough to help me find my way

i see you!
stopping calling me for mercy
i hear your "ow ow ow" chasing me, restless

Can you see me in the painting of the forgetting
in the soul of this, torn
can you be my angel?
could you change my pace?
unblind me, show me who you are.

Angels are winding me back into the chair
the day light blinds me nowhere
but the love changes me
pick me up, find me, love me and grace me

turn on the light and forgive me
i shall fall into tragedy
the place where life can't safe me
and the abyss i'm dragging will change the voice

pull me in...i'm trying to photograph your face
don't say good bye.
give the moment a change in direction.
momentarily take place back inside, returning

take me home where warm arms will embrace
not the endangered soul but you.
the war i'm in will not settle down
i'll fight to return to the one place my heart belongs

love, the implication that you will be my home
i'll wait forever to understand,
legends come and going i'll need
a someone here, hearing my words

the war is between,
won't stop until i understand.
truth is them waiting for
who the heart will beat for

why can't you find me?
echoes of your trust in my beliefs
are growing farther than

i swear i'm growing alone,
with words of comparison like the wings of my angels.
i am lost in myself and no one can reach me
until my pace is in step with my soul

i'm walking, a lonely girl in the grasp of reality
my right hand over my left arm.
i walk lost, thinking harder than before, in the dept of my mind
i feel you getting closer,
but never close enough to help me find my way

Wow, that was really good. Nicely written. That is an easy 10

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
