    Shine

    Shine...

Brighten my depths with your vain glances,

My heart trembles at your faintest smile, tormenting my soul.

But Shine, nonetheless, Illuminating the shadows in which my fear and uncertainty lie.

I am open....No I'M surrendered, inadvertently, but inevitable.

I can notescape, nor can I attempt.

It penetrates my faults and my insignificant opinions.

He shines gloriously, magnificantly, respectfully. His warmth glows as amber or the frantic sparkle of a love kindled flame in a companions eyes.

    You shine for me.

The moon and all it's wonders fail in comparison to how you shine for me.

If by chance your light turns to the grays of night, Then extinguish the candles of my life, as well as future flames, For I will give a thousand of my existences, in love, to maintain and protect your fire.........

    SHINE

i read this several times and can't figure out why it only had a 7 average rating. i give it a ten plus. this is a solid poem. has a message and is done to "professional" standards mixed with almost an ee cummings style. love this poem!! sincere

    beautifully composed

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
