    Sneak Attack

Have you ever watched some one die?

Until 2 years ago, neither had I

Eyes sting with tears held back

    Bad memories sneak attack

Just when I'd thought I'd put them to bed

    They rear their ugly head

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
