If I could see through your eyes
Maybe my insight would change
Sometimes I try to imagine your feelings
But I end up feeling the same
I may never agree with your thinking
But at least I will know where you are

If I could speak with my heart
Maybe I'd know what to say
Cause sometimes my tongue just gets tangled and twisted
And you end up walking away
When my words leave you angry and bitter
And I cant seem to say what I mean

When this valley between us grows deeper
And I cant color over your blues
I'd sing you a song if I felt like singing
I'd write you a note if I knew what to write
Well maybe I'd try to put my thoughts aside
If I could see through your eyes.
