Poem Commentary

What I like is what I share.  I get many ideas that may not fit the beaten path but someone has to check the outer limits of the mind occasionally  [smiling]

Story'oems

I like to read a story purposely written to share intent;
To give to total strangers, a special topic or event.
It can be written in total truth, or of fiction in disguise
experiencing things of history, or just a pack of lies.
To hold the reader close at bay and keep them there in line,
They have the words there written, ending in a rhyme.
A rhythm helps the flow of words, in there proper place
Anticipating what comes next might even deal with race.
Things change, through  the ages, now different eyes can see
New things, that are happening, aren't like they used to be.
You sitting in the writters chair might hopefully reveal
A feeling, sight or happening that just might appeal.
Language change will happen, every year or two;
Both the kids and politicians change the meanings too!
Exotic loves and broken hearts of shattered dreams exist;
Some are made feel better by the mention of a kiss.
So when you sit to read a story whenever you have the time
Doesn't it read much better when it's written in a rhyme?
So I will pass along these words, placed here, just for you
To share, and think of what you like, and your point of view?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
