Survivor

                     Survivor

In my life I have been a survivor

Waiting for the entire world to see

What rests in the dark

Also rises in the dawn

She is an entity of no words

There are no lyrics to be sung

She flows like the wind

To somber moments

From strife began

A victor of each moment

Though each wave of movement is prophesied

A burning candle that waits

For light to match with light

Endearment of the darkness

She holds love

To those that smite

To hear her; you Cannot

Therein lies only a presence of truth

That lies within the shadows

Of her sisters and mothers fruit

What songs of agony does she sing?

Through echoes of time

And church bells ring

She feels so alone

In territorial places unknown

Crawling through the mire

She struggles to live through the fire

Blood sweat and tears

Are no match for mind body and spirit

Climbing the rocks of the past

With echoing voices; love contains no wrath

It is at times so hot and yet so cold

Finding equality in a solace so old

Angels are near

The presence of hope

They soothe her tired muscles

Nudging her once in awhile

To remind her of the great escape

The vision eclipsed to her …..

To be continued
