    Poem Commentary

dedicated to a friend that died in 04

    The First Day

I come in and I have butterflies in my stomach.
New shoes on my feet and new clothes on my back.
New classes, new school, and new people, new friends.
And that hot guy across the class!
More freedom, more fun, more happiness.
By the way, it's my first day of high school.
