The flower and the weed.
a flower and a weed grew up together,
had no idea they were enemy's to one another,
then came the gardner to hoe his land,
start pulling on weed with a stubborn hand.
what are you doing flower shouted to the man,
that is my friend you understand,
the man looked down and said don't you see,
this here is trouble its a fatal weed!
and if I allow it to stay and do not remove,
it will block the sun and suffucate you.
the flower pleaded this can't be so,
we grew together a month ago!
I'll tell you what the farmer said,
I'll let it live since you have begged,
but if by tomorrow you don't have room,
I'll be back and pull its roots.
the flower and the weed they both cried,
the farmer had spared its life,
during the night the weed it grew,
and flower saw the awlful truth.
in the morning when the sun was high,
the farmer made his round,
there he saw lying on the ground,
where the flower had withered and died.
the farmer told the weed look what you've done,
I knew you'd suffucate her by blocking the sun!
the weed said no, that is not true,
what killed her you see was you,
the flower was in love with me,
until you told it I was just a weed.
look around you farmer what do you see,
you planted her here among us weeds,
you should have planted it over there,
but the flower was happy and thats all that cares!
there you go the farmer said,
as he gently uprooted the weed,
then he planted it in the flower bed,
so it could grow among the flowers seed.
