The Future Holds Happiness

The Future Holds Happiness

The past cannot be altered

Nor the memories erased

But the future brings much happiness

Despite the hardships that we’ve faced

Tomorrow will hold smiles

And next week will make us cheer

If we just hold on and wait a bit

The future will be near

There’s been pain and loss and grief

As we’ve struggled through the dark

But night is not immortal

And the sun will shines with sparks
