The Great Me
My Great Grandfather was an army veteran
My dad's dad, he saved lives.
My father is a rocket scientist, and i wonder
who am I?
Perhaps I'll be an astronaut and travel around in space
or find a cure for the sniffle-snuffs
or discover a brand new place.
Maybe I'll be a billionaire, complete with house and yacht.
But wherever I go
and whatever I do
I'll remember who I'm not.
I'm not the one who you'll hear say,
"it's too hard so don't try"
I'm not the one who will turn away
when I see somebody cry.
That must mean that I'm somebody
no less someone than you..
I may not have it all planned out
but I'll be somebody too.
