The Man Unwanted
As time goes by the turning of the leaves have come and gone. The setting of each sun has shined a glimmer of happiness. We meet during the first turning of the leaves, as it seemed something special. It was something that was so surreal. It was strong, and powerful, it was fast! It was at that moment I was everything that you thought that you wanted. Now I am the man unwanted
You had questions yet not a word was uttered. Was I the man of your dreams; was I the one whom you talked about in your thoughts and prayers? Was it confusion was it stubbornness, or was it meant to be? There is so much to be said for what is meant to be. Meant to be can so easily get lost in what truly is. Were you meant to find me and I you, or was it a ploy to get us where we were both meant to be?
As good of a man that I seem to be it is not nearly good enough, and it is not the fault of the parties involved. The young are blinded by what they think they want and need only later to find out that there is so much more than they could have even imagined. I hope that you and I find that happiness one day. I only wish that it would have been together, but I am not what you want anymore and nor can I be.
Along this journey through this life we all have regrets, and moments they wish that they could change. Would I change the turning of the leaves or the setting of each sun with you? No! It has meant too much to me.
It saddens me to know that this chapter is closing and the scene is setting on the future that we once had planned. Now we are faced with writing a new chapter and starting a new life. I am afraid. I feel lost and confused and heart broken. How could we have something that was so real, that went slipping through our hands as if it were never truly there?
I have always known that I would be connected to you, but the winds of change have arrived and are calling us. The only thing that I would have wished for is to be everything that you wanted, but instead I am the man unwanted!
