    The Robin

The robin whispers to the early morn, he has a smile and never
a scorn. He cheers the morning with his song then goes on singing
all day long. He is God's creature and this he knows that God is
with him wherever he goes. He toils at nothing at any time but
with God's love he'll be just fine.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
