    • The blessing is in the giving, the life is in the living, with fervent love I am bringing, an open heart to you.

    Poem Commentary

Recently we had a storm here in Philadelphia, and it was so beatiful so silent and serene,it move me to write this feeling.

    The Sound of Snow

    The Sound of Snow

The sound of snow is quiet and calm

it scrubs the air the air like a healing balm

the snow flakes chase each other around

while the hurries of life all slow down

it drowns out the hustle and bustle of the street

and makes you talk to the people you meet

isn't it beautiful some will proclaim

and others will say that the snow is so lame

just sit by the window and watch this sight

for by the end of the day, it will turn to night.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
