    The Truth Lies

    The Truth Lies
    Some where in my mind
    Behind where I cannot see
    What I must find
The truth that is true for me
    Call me Mr. Incredible
    Call me Mr. Pitiful.
My head is not forgettable but
Still my mind is pretty full
Of thoughts and ideas and possibilities
I can cogitate but not chew
    Masticate but not articulate
    That which I feel
    My fate
    The state
    Of my union
    Confusion
    With no rebate
    Risk with no reward
    Always moving away
    Never toward
    The future is today
Today is yesterday, yesterday is now and
    That will never happen again
    Until the end
    Or the beginning
    Atoms, worlds, a universe spinning
    Out of control
    Or into it
    Into itself
    Into you
    Into me
    Don't believe everything you see
    Your eyes deceive
    The spider weaves
    One design we view
A different map for what we do
    And somewhere in between
    The truth lies

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
