    The Walk is Forever

The splendor of twilight, the sound of crashing waves
The warmth of a fire, the crackling of burning wood
Mushy sand seeping between the toes, wind in the hair
Two loving hands interlocked, love embraced

Red in the night sky means love has been shared
Dolphin fins in the water, nature sends its care
The sun setting, love has breached the air
The moon rising, hope for the future

    Sparkling stars, looks are exchanged
    Soft music playing, romance enhanced
    Crickets singing, the cuddling starts
Lips are puckering, kissing meant to be

Throbbing of the heart, love thrives
Smiles are given with spoken whispers
    Eyes glisten, fuzzy feelings arise
When love is shared, the walk is forever

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
