    This Song

    You are the melody to the song in my head,
    The song of life that lives on when I'm in bed,
    Or when I'm alone in the dark, and can't shake the beat,
    When I'm tapping my fingers, or stomping my feet,

    You are the chorus that's said over and again,
    And sometimes, that's how my song began,
    When the key has changed and it flows right along,
    And you are the silence at the end of my song,

    You are the notes, each and every one,
    And you are the harmony, when it is sung,
    You are the bridge, and the way it is played,
    And you were in mind, when this song was made,
