Three Months to This Day

Three Months to This Day

On the fifth of May,
Jackie went out to play,
the leaves were bright yellow,
and the wind was very mellow.

On the sixth of June,
Jackie went out with a balloon,
while she danced and sang a tune,
she thought about the pretty moon.

On the seventh day of July,
Jackie saw the sky,
she saw Billy Joe catch a pop fly,
and she thought my oh my!

Today,
Jackie sits and think about the fifth of May,
and everything she did that day,
wondering who wants to play three months down the way.

Hmmm, this was a lovely little poem. Nice rhyming and flow.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
