Poem Commentary

It is often to me surprise when I hear my children speak about myself to other people. I think wow what an amazing person they are talking about, then I realize further in their conversation that they are talking about me. I am truly blessed by each one of them and I hope they know how wonderful they are and how proud I am that I was honored with the job of being their mom. This poem is dedicated to my little angels who everyday give my heart and soul wings to fly across places I could never have dreamed of without them! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Through my children's eyes

Through my children's eyes what wonders they do see,

that when they speak of their mother I'm surprised that it is me.

They speak of a super-woman that flies to and fro,

they love their time beside her and are sad when she must go.

They tell of a woman who's beauty has no pair,

this woman that they speak of is sweet, kind, and fair.

They speak of nightly lullabies sang in a voice that cause the angels to sigh.

And the magic kisses that heal them no matter why they cry.

They tell of gentle moments and hugs that stop all fears,

and the feelings that fill their hearts when her pride for them brings her to tears

This woman that they speak of is amazing as you can see,

and everyday I hear of her I forget that she is me.

Yes through my children's eyes I am seen as divine,

how would they feel to know one day how they are seen in mine.

Nicely done. A mother in total you are. Yet love is measured my what is returned and you are definately loved.

I do lullabies, despite our ages we have much in common and I delight in the different styles you are confident in your writing.... have you take classes?

FANTABULOUS!!! I feel the love your kids have for you and as daughter and a mother, I even share it too. This poem was very refreshing. I'm going to read more of you selections.

I LOVE THIS POEM IT IS FANTASTIC! You are a very good poetry writer. I hope someday I get as good as you are at writing a poem. I wrote my first poem "?" in the hospital. I was suppose to read it aloud but I could not all I could do was cry. I submitted a poem today if you would like to read it. If you want give me some pointers. Mel64

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
