    Timid

    He wants,
    but does not take.

    He claims,
    but fails to prove.

    He loves,
    but cannot say.

    Only in their absence,
    can he.

    But they are
    not him,
    yet, he tends
    to their whim.

    As if they matter.

    Look with your heart,
    not through
    everyone else.

    Or so be,
    by yourself,
    Shattered.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
