    To Earthen End

    Stretching far beyond horizon
    Waters clear and deep await
They call upon the lost and drifting
    Hearts to cross the gate

To sail away to earthen end
    To dream on oceans vast
To wonder is to waken with new eyes
    To sea at last

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
