    To Shannon;

    To go on living with only the memories that we were blessed with when the flowers of our life have wilted and died.

    To wake each morning without the sounds of their voice, the vision of their smiles and the warmth of their embrace, to go through the day and into the night with the emptiness we feel inside.

    Is this what life is all about, to live, love and too soon to die, to love someone with all your heart and have to say goodbye.

    Our days are long and empty; our nights will end too soon, as will our sleep, the only time we have to dream of the loved ones we lost too soon.

    But to be touched, if only for moments before they joined the angels above, that is our blessing, the bright memories that live within us, for truly we knew love.

    very moving! Your poem reads like a detached afterthought. The unreality of a loved one lost.

    Very Romantic

    Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
