Today I knew
Today I knew!

Today I learned that life aint as bad as it sometimes seems.
You get up, and suddenly you have found a problem.
But, if you search hard enough your smile will radiate beams,
For now you know how to solve them.
I saw people had troubles greater than mine.
Now my heart was in sorrow.
If they would seek help from the Devine,
They would find hope for tomorrow.
One girl was heart broken.
Her boo had gone away.
But if she had not, had spoken,
Then I would not have written today.
Now I have to tell of my friend Jesus.
Of this I do not mind.
For I know that he can heal us.
He is the greatest we can find.
Another wondered at her friends.
Why did they treat her so?
I know her heart with hunger bends,
as she ponders to let them go.
Now she knows there is a friend,
To give all her hearts desire.
If she would say "Jesus mend",
Being happy, jump she would as if on fire.
Today I know with God there is peace.
And there is help if you want it.
Now all your burdens to him pour, release,
And this joy he will grant it.
