Tonight He Sang Me A Love Song
I believed my time to love had past.
I thought my times of lonely would surely last.
Until tonight, when he sang to me; so loud and so clear.
So close to my heart did he appear; lovely and dear.
The other part of my heart, and of my soul,
Together at last; he makes me whole.
Tonight he sang me a love song,
A song that tells me, in my heart he does belong.
I searched this old world for oh so long,
But tonight he sang me a love song.
I knew by the voice that it was him.
A voice so familiar, that it makes my soul dance.
Not a passing whim, but oh, a chance,
To know and experience, my one true love;
The voice on the radio.
Tonight he sang me a love song,
A song that tells me, in my heart he does belong.
I searched this old world for oh so long,
But tonight he sang me a love song.
