    Tree Harvest Day

Father and son are working hard,
Harvesting trees from my front yard.
Have you ever seen a walking tree?
They are as noisy as can be.
The tops sway to and fro,
as if they're in a big blow.
It makes me sad to see them go,
rvrn thow it needs done. I know.
I think about the birds, squirrels and rabbits,
and know we're destroying their habitats.
It's interesting to me to see,
the way they harvest planted trees.
It's quite a sight to see tress lumber about.
As they fall, TIMBER I want to shout.
It wasn't done on a lark.
We want our land to be a park.
We just decided that it was time,
to get rid of the planted pine.
I'm glad today is good weather.
I enjoy watching a family work together.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
