Poem Commentary

This is a poem I composed about the elements I find act as catalysts to my creative process.  Written in the Shakespearean style of sonnets, I pictured a single moment in my life and spun this poem from that.

Twilight's Triumph

Contemplative skies, wisps float through vision,

Light reflecting thoughts from bodies bound,

Gusts disrupt leaves, providing acuity provision,

Gears begin to grind without a sound,

Tangible pleasures facilitate ethereal thought,

Nature’s caress a catalyst for the mind,

Greater insight than confinement allot,

Synthesize body, with spirit to bind,

Rusted vaults creak open, locks torn asunder,

The minds essence diffusing through current,

Comprehension and regrets crack as thunder,

That previously blurred becomes translucent,

Broad darkness brings truth to light,

Brilliance burning amidst the glimmering night.
