    Unattainable

My heart pounds through my chest
    I can’t catch my breath
    Every second, minute,
Hour of everyday of my life is spent thinking of you.

    Your what I want,
    But I cant have you.
    When I’m near you,
My heart stops and it hurts to breath.

How can something feel so right,
    But still be so wrong?
    How do I continue existing
    When my one true desire
Is something I know I can never have?

    So I continue dreaming,
When I lie down at night and close my eyes,
    Your face haunts my dreams.
I need to forget you, stop the hurt.

I erase you from my mind
    But you always return.
I always let you back in.
I can never have you, but you will always have me.

There will always be someone there for you - no matter where you go!!!!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
