Unbreakable

Unbreakable

Torn apart,
into what little scraps of innocence are left here,
to die.

I said I was unbreakable,
when my life crumbled,
and i lied.

Unbreakable has no meaning understandable to the human race,
Tangled in battles held at your pace,
where lives get taken to handle cruelty in a way that breaks hearts,
bones....spirits.

Take it without thinking,
hurt and caught in tortured love,
where nothing gets in,
and no one gets out.

Where do I step out from the shattered innocence?
Into the broken light of the real world,
with the sound of gunshots in the air,
and the sights of blood everywhere.

So take the unbreakable,
bend, twist, and break it,
because to you it has no meaning,
you wouldn't understand.

I'm too unbreakable for you to grasp.

Nice poem. It is strong. :) I like your other poem too.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
