Until You
Though we may not know what we have until it's gone,
we may not know what we've missed until it arrives.
You're like a child who has lived a thousand years:
a paradox of cunning innocence.
The music of our souls may flow in counterpoint,
but what we are as one is more than two apart.
Now that you are by my side,
all I've missed has just arrived.
All at once my outlook changes.
Love comes in and rearranges
every moment and every heartbeat.
Now you're the only thing that occupies my mind.
An unfinished symphony that together we'll complete...
we may not know what we've missed until it arrives.
