    Untitled by Korrina Wright 7/10/08

Her plate is overflowing with the food already ont it. She can't seem to eat fast enough as more food is pilled ontop. The problems just won't seem to go away, yet still she bows her head to pray. Not realizing that god does her cry, but isn't responding, can you tell her why? Why? Why when she lifts the for up to her lips, no food is able to fit......Yet, there is nothing in her mouth. Why when she prays to God to make her stronger from the man's grasp, she finds herself hopping across town for another late....night ...task. Or why when the help of God is slapping her in the face, she goes elsewhere to find the wrong help in a different place. Why when God has put out the flame, she goes back to strick another match, only cheering on his name. Why? Why, because it's not the food that overflows her plate, but the fornication, the adultry, the lust and masturbation, the music the anger and anticipation. Anticipation of what you might ask? The anticipation of the next time she'll get to "Double-Dutch" with the next lover-boy who comes her way. Pushing herself further astray, from the hand of God reaching out to her, only trying to love her and set her soul free. But he can't until she finally opens her eyes to see.....she never really loved Him. That she was never really, how do u say, saved from sexual immorality. Another day with the devil she plays but her lips cry out to God to be saved. Don't turn me away, dont leave me Lord. Same spoken words played like the death chord. When will she realize that her life is not a game? Always crying to God for a life in the fast lane. But little does she know that her lane is quickly ending. And her blessings are getting covered by her wicked ways and sinning. What is some advice that you can give to her today? Tell her get down on her knees, bow her head and begin to pray. For God is dissapointed in the way she chose to live. He only wants the best for her cause shes got so much more to give. Tell her God really, truely loves her and He wants her to live her best and that trials and tribulations are in her life to run some tests. She can pass or she can fail, but the decisions all her own. But just remember He's taking notes because He wants to see you home.

Whoa, this is a Beautiful Write... and it hurts to as it chronicles being lost and held captive in the wrong source...I can relate, and I feel blessed to have read your piece...although hurtful indeed...thanks for sharing, most relevant!

Great rhythm. We have to understand that into every life some rain must fall! How could we ever really learn to appreciate the sun if it never rained? Great job!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
