I can't look at your face
    I've made so many mistakes
and now I'm out here on my own.

    I've been such a disgrace
so many lies I can taste
but if only I had known.

I'm so sick of this place
    but still,for you I wait
just look how we both have grown.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
