untitled

You continually avoid my persistance
with the distance
of crashing cars.

Nothing but everything to prove.

I'm constantly lost in the visions
of my ambitions
like flashing stars.

Tell me anything but the truth.

You consistantly control my resistance
with reminisence
of lasting scars.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
