Upon Natures Path
Upon natures path I followed green
My thoughts provoked lovely dream
The leaves of gold from autumn's tint
Had dyed their tresses lovely mint
Dressed in moss its mourning cloak
My eyes beheld a broaden oak
Limbs without falter held each nest
Sheltered rain from feathered guest
Strong and sturdy, weeping still
With splendor on a grassy hill
Velvet blades caught acorn tears
Solitary comfort through barren years
Furry friends have come and gone
Spent seedlings they have feasted on
Pinched myself to wake from sleep
To realize truth of masterpiece
For beauty of true nature lies
Not in your dreams, but in your eyes
My thoughts provoked lovely dream
The leaves of gold from autumn's tint
Had dyed their tresses lovely mint
Dressed in moss its mourning cloak
My eyes beheld a broaden oak
Limbs without falter held each nest
Sheltered rain from feathered guest
Strong and sturdy, weeping still
With splendor on a grassy hill
Velvet blades caught acorn tears
Solitary comfort through barren years
Furry friends have come and gone
Spent seedlings they have feasted on
Pinched myself to wake from sleep
To realize truth of masterpiece
For beauty of true nature lies
Not in your dreams, but in your eyes
