    Valley of Darkness

    Valley Of Darkness

As I walk through the valley of darkness
I see no light, I see not
    The darkness is my guide
I walk by faith not by sight
I seek all adventures and wonders
    That cross my path
I fear not, I want not,
I can taste the air I breath
I can feel the wind around me
The mist of rain drops slowly
    Covers my face
I was blind and could not see
    Until I closed my eyes
    It was clear to me

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
