Do we recognize the beauty thats all around?
Sadness still covers the faces of so many of my people
All they can see is a box shape reality of the current state
How I wish I could reach out and just tell you to never give up and smile

Scarred and scared everyone stare pon you then turned away to go about their way
As your weary hand extends you experience something that many of us take for granted
Dropping all pride to humble ourselves in sayin I need help
In a diverse and rich city such as ours; We must stand together
