We Are Broken
What would you dofor paper in someone else's hand?
Would you steal, would you kill,
Would you sacrifice your values?
Oh, you think you wouldn't now.
But who's to say in a few short years,
You'll be the same self-righteous man...
Clinging to his material identity
Forsaking any spirituality
That might have been in reach.
There's nothing I can teach
That won't be soon forgotten.
So I have no cause to speak,
But to ease my bleeding heart.
I guess this could be the start.
Do not cry for your own children,
When there are countless on the streets.
Do not complain of your poverty
When you have food to eat.
Do not feel sympathy for others,
Feel sorry for yourself.
We're all in this world together,
And we've sent this world to hell.
