What I Have To Do

What I Have To Do

As I'm sitting all alone,
And no one else is home,
I know what I have to do,
This feeling that never passes through.
I know I have to tell you,
Somehow just let you know,
That what I feel inside it true.

In your eyes that are blue,
You look at me, without even a clue.
I remember every second we danced,
I see it everyday at a glance.
As you keep looking at me that certain way,
Know I'm holding certain feelings at bay.

I know what I have to do,
I know that I must tell you.
I know I must be crave,
For you look I crave,
I have to tell,
Before they all really yell,
That I really maybe sort of
Really like you.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
