When You

When You

When you take my hand I can feel something down my spine

A smile appears because I know your love is mine

When you touch me, you touch me down deep

I can feel your soul as we lay down before we sleep

When you whisper and I feel your breath on my skin

I know I want you to show me your love again

When you hold me close I feel your heart beating next to me

Everything is right as you kiss my lips so gently

When you run your fingers slowly down my cheek

I close my eyes, my body feels so weak

When you kiss my neck and begin to smile

I know letting go will be worthwhile

When your hands slowly caress my body

I feel the passion that lights between you and me

When you wrap your arms and legs around

I know this is love and passion we’ve both found

When you kiss me, pull me close and say goodnight

I know everything will be ok as we say good morning to the sunlight

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
