Where Are You?

Where Are You?

As I look afar into the star's,I ask myself over and over; Daddy, where are you?  Why have you left me alone? So all alone,no phone, not even a letter,is it better without me?
You see daddy,I love you and I need you in my life. You see,you son has a family of his own now and I vow, never to leave them.Yes,my little ones are all alone now.In their eyes,I see the emptiness that I once had before---So cold,So sad,So blue--Daddy,"Where are you?'' What can I do? Time is against me,am I to be a father or a daddy? I don't want to be a daddy,I want to be a father to my children. Don't  turn your back on us,must we be alone too?   Daddy, where are you?
Daddy, they are looking for me, Daddy,I am looking for you. Can I come home? Will you come home?  So close, but so far a part, our hearts know what to say,but our tongues get in the way.No gain, only pain, now my little ones feel the same. Its not right for it to be this way,but on this day I know what to say.............Do not fear, daddy is here and you will never have to ask that question again. ''Where are you?''  For daddy loves you.......

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
