Who am I
Who am I
By: Adam M. Snow
Alone, wandering down a dreary road,
With no dreams for I to call my own,
Who suffer with what I bestowed,
But I, a single soul alone.
Seeking the truth of a past long forgotten,
A truth broken for many years,
Now my essence soon to rotten,
And I surrounded by my many fears.
The same question runs through my mind,
Do I now dare to ask?
My true love I left behind,
And I cower behind my mask,
Watching her face as time takes her away,
I'm afraid, I bowed my head in shame,
With emptiness in my heart, growing night and day,
I seek to find her longing name.
Now I cover the truth with lies,
As I await for my day to die.
Will I remember myself and rise?
Yet I'm stuck with the question, "Who am I?"
